Candles

A GBE colleague warned me yesterday not to burn the candle at both ends.

He made me think all night, and I've to say I've been thinking on that for a long time (and sure I'll continue thinking...).

By the way, the verses at the bottom of the picture are so encouranging (I'm writting them down, in English and Spanish). I also remember now Jesus inviting his people to come to him just to give them rest.

Do not forget that. Come to Him and let Him work on you.

Do you not know?
    Have you not heard?
The Lord is the everlasting God,
the Creator of the ends of the earth.
He will not grow tired or weary,
and his understanding no one can fathom.
He gives strength to the weary
and increases the power of the weak.

¿Acaso no lo sabes?
    ¿Acaso no te has enterado?
El Señor es el Dios eterno,
creador de los confines de la tierra.
No se cansa ni se fatiga,
    y su inteligencia es insondable.
Él fortalece al cansado
y acrecienta las fuerzas del débil.

Who is Jesus to me?

I'm writting a short introduction to what I've been listening&learning to this weekend in the II meeting of Evangélicos en Economía y Empresa.

Jesus is the Joy- to be shared
Jesus is the Peace- to be given
Jesus is the Hungry- to be fed
Jesus is the Thirsty- to be satiated
Jesus is the Naked- to be clothed
Jesus is the Homeless- to be taken
Jesus is the Sick- to be healed
Jesus is the Lonely- to be loved
Jesus is the Unwanted- to be wanted
Jesus is the Beggar- to be given a smile
Jesus is the Crippled- to walk with him
Jesus is the Drug Addict- to be befriend him
Jesus is the Prostitute- to remove from danger and befriend
Jesus is the Prisoner- to be visited
Jesus is the Old- to be served

Those are words from Mother Teresa, but in Business we could add another line:

Jesus is the Unemployed- to be given a job

Agobio

O quizá no...

Extrañando...

I'm not ready to be at home. I feel Irelandsick. Everything here is totally different from there, and I don't want to forget what we did in this two weeks. Many people we've met, many children we've worked with... I don't want to forget them, and here is so different and I'm feeling inactive.
So, I'm missing... I'm still missing. And many things remind me others that we have done, or bought, or eaten.

I'm sorry, but I'm missing. I'll try to be active in order not to feel in this way.

Bye, bye.

Lists

People write lists. Different lists.

Lists of what to buy at the supermarket, what are forgotten in the front of the fridge the most of the times, lists of what to do in the day. Often, people write the books they prefer the most in order, or lists about their favourite groups and songs. Lists about places to visit, and lists about people they don’t talk to. And some people write lists about what they have to take when they travel. I do that.

Yeah. I don’t usually do it, what when I’m travelling abroad I do. It’s not as easy as it seems, ‘cause there are a lot of things you have to take, and you don’t have the space to put it in. So, it’s hard making the right list.
I wrote the first list one or two days ago. Now, I have to revise it and think what I must buy and what it’s not so important to take. That’s the hard work.

So, I should rewrite my list, adding what I've forgot the firt time, and deleting that things I don't really need.

One more thing. By this time, in seven days, I'll be arriving to the Belfast International Airport.

I know it's not my best English. I'll improve it, I promise.
